A Personal Note from Dr. Laurie Daly, Ed.D.
Dr. Laurie Designs
was birthed from my love of dazzling bracelets that are stackable, mixable, affordable, and easy to put on in a hurry. At the same time, I am a professor of Early Childhood Education (ECE) at Lake County Campus of Woodland Community College and I have a deep desire to help my students be financially empowered to prosper ("be blessed"). That is why my tag line is "Let everything we touch be blessed!" I want everyone who makes these bracelets or wears these bracelets to be blessed! This blessing starts at home with my students being able to supplement their incomes by making beautiful creative jewelry, while raising money for the ECE department, and allowing us to give back to the community.

Our Purpose
Quality Jewelry Made by Hand
All our crystal and pearl bracelets are handmade by my ECE students and myself. We started this business because we love beading, creating bracelets, and it is a fun way to supplement our income.

An Early Childhood Student & Teacher Project
My students are all infant, toddler, preschool, afterschool, and special education teachers, who typically make minimum wage. We love to teach, but we did NOT want to take a "vow of poverty" just because we believe that early education is important. This project supplements our incomes so that we can do what we really love to do .... afford to work with children.
We Give Back to Our Community
Dr. Laurie Designs donates 10% of our profits to local child development centers and schools through $500.00 mini grants. Not only do the ECE students and teachers learn how to write mini grants, but they also sit on the selection committee and determine which grants are worthy of funding. We like to use the expression "All boats rise!" for this Win-Win situation.
